Maxol Direct Senior Cup Final
St. Malachy’s College will play De La Salle in the final of the Maxol Direct Senior Cup Final on St. Patrick's Day at the New Grosvenor Stadium, kick off 2.00 pm. Last year the Antrim Road school finished as runners up, going down 2-1 to Fort Hill but they are determined to go one better this time.

St. Malachy’s began their campaign with a 3-1 victory at Grosvenor after extra time. They then gained revenge for last season’s cup final defeat by ousting Fort Hill 2-0. A quarter final tie away to Monkstown seemed to be a daunting prospect but St. Malachy’s came through with colours flying 4-1 and a hard fought 2-1 victory over Model took them into the final for the second year in succession.
De La Salle have impressed in their cup campaign and have yet to concede a goal. They put four past Dunmurry and followed by accounting for St. Patrick’s 3-0. Single goal victories over St. Colm’s and Our Lady and St. Patrick’s College secured their place in the traditional holiday showpiece.
St. Malachy’s got their name on the coveted trophy in 1994 whereas De La Salle has enjoyed much greater success lifting the cup on six occasions.
Kick Off is at 2.00pm
